Brown African Affairs series in conjunction with the Congressional Black Caucus Legislative Weekend.  The program is named for the late Commerce Secretary, Ronald H. Brown, who was a leader in forging ties between the U.S. and Africa.  Secretary Brown highlighted trade and investment opportunities in Africa and personally led trade delegations to Africa.  The theme for 2009 was, “Issues, Opportunities and Strategies for Building a Constituency for Africa in the United States“.
